The unstoppable Glen Phillips

One of the most unforgettable lecturers at MLTC is Glen Phillips. I first made his acquaintance at the age of 17, when I started at MLTC. He had a large office near Bob Peter, so I thought he had to be someone terribly important. I really enjoyed being in his advanced English group and doing such interesting things as editing correctly. He was always an excellent mentor and encouraged us in our writing endeavours.

When I finally worked at MLTC, in the mid 90’s, which was by that stage ECU; Glen was still there. In fact Glen is still there! Glen is very productive and in addition to working at MLTC, WACAE and ECU for around 55 years, he is also a poet, a writer, and the Director of the International Centre for Landscape and Language, to name but a few of his talents.

We are indebted to Glen for the wonderful job he has done to date on this project.
